Having raced karts in his younger years, Mike first made the swich from circuit racing to rallying back in 2005, and has never looked back.

With numerours class wins in the ANCRO Clubmans Rally Championship and the one make Peugeot 206 Challange during the 2005 season, his first year in the sport, Mike gained the reputation as a driver who was both competitive, yet had the temprement to get the car to the finish of events. A point proven with a 100% finishing record from the 14 rallies contested over both the 2005 and 2006 seasons.

This resulted in a career best 2nd place in the championship in 2006, missing out on victory at the very last round, the Bulldog Rally in Mid Wales, by 17 seconds; all this after a whole season of competition and hundreds of competitive miles.

Despite not competing in recent months, Mike has been working hard away from events, mainly carrying out public, corporate and one-to-one Rally and Supercar driving tuition, both in the UK and abroad.

Mike's big break...
"I was working at a rally school just seat belting guests into cars, and an instructor didn't turn up so I got put into the car to instruct for the day. The event manager knew I had done a bit of karting and stuff, so off I was sent! I instructed all day and even did my own passenger rides at the end of the day. I knew I was being watched closely, as I think everybody was under the impression I would throw it off into the field; to be honest, me included! From that day on I was put in a car every week, which was brilliant. I must have done something right!"
